High Heels For Wide Feet
Language has a very central social function that is used to identity and cultural belonging - in short, language is an immensely important cultural asset:
language is culture
language society
language life
In this sense, we want above all the central roll out to the language and the languages in all aspects of play of human life - such as questions of identity, social integration, education, psychology and art. But we also want to make people familiar with the idea of linguistic diversity of our world, to show that it is precisely this variety has a high priority for humanity and therefore must be preserved.
All this is mainly with the means and instruments to be implemented, for which we stand as an art agent - with the arts. Where it is necessary to provide in depth knowledge, we seek the cooperation and expertise with faculty of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Salzburg.
It is no secret that the cultural association art box for some time with the concept of a "Language Museum" deals. The next 24 months will be a "laboratory" for this plan, a "Work in Progress", which allows us to experiment with multi-faceted subject of language - the results will feed into the master plan. Two themes we have planned: The "small" and the "big" world of language: first
The language in the regional context
What makes the identity of a region? Is it the landscape, the history, culture, the economy, it is the people who live there? Identity is not a statistic, it is not foreseeable as "economic fundamentals" and not as historical auflistbar Jahreszahlen. Es hängt dann von der Persönlichkeit jedes Einzelnen ab, inwieweit er fähig oder willens ist, sich in fremder Umgebung sprachlich anzupassen, doch the most depends on her life at least "a slight accent on. The further one goes away, the further the regional identification of the source region. He who understands its regional identity will continue, or will then also more extensive, mostly "everyday language" referred to levels of language use, which then often have only a few lines of small regions in itself. The basis of all or any regionality-comprising forms of language but the local dialects. Without it, would collapse the foundation that makes it as the Salzburg - naturally in a variety of shades - even talking to "Salzburg". That means: use and appreciation of regional languages are primarily in the region of their place. This linguistic microcosm, we want to focus - with the means of art, science, and also by using new media.
second The language in the context poured
How many living languages are there? - 50? 200? maybe 1000? The correct answer is: about 6,000, falling tendency. It could be that somewhere is dying in the world right now, the last speaker of a largely unknown language, there would be a living language less. What exactly is a language and not only the dialect of a larger language, can be hard to say objectively: How many new words or phrases need to be able to demarcate a single language? It also depends on the ratings of the speaker, if they perceive something as a separate language. Whether Swahili or Uzbek, whether Austrian dialects or languages of France - it is precisely these differences that make up the fascination of the "foreigners".
to various languages will be presented and thematisisert in events, but also offered insight into the typical culture - with readings, dance and music performances, plays and much more. In this way we want to reveal the phenomena of language with its content and the associated lifestyles. Consequently, this approach aims a socio-cultural insights and an exploration of reality, which opens to the public opinion of the present. For languages not only as a means of communication, but must be seen to other cultures as a means of access. The associated with several cultures through their languages must be part of the identity of all citizens.
Therefore, the cultural association dedicated art box in the year 2011/12 the phenomenon of language. As a form of home, strangeness and connecting lifeline.
addition, we will consistently invest in the greatest asset of our society - our children. We continue to question the identity of the scenic region produce and play on them with land art and literature. We plan to establish a theater lab, and if our capacity is adequate, we will present here, even the one or the other in-house production. The new format "art tours" will lead us to Venice Biennale 2011. And, and, and .... Here is an overview of planned activities 2011:

Swollen Tooth Extraction Pregnancy
... and so it looks right now from - I find horrible.

Sun .... - And now I have spun a little and I tinkered with reference to the last pictures from my new front yard garden.
When facing a low yew hedge.

How To Fix Mod Podge Mistakes
After today I had this song already uploaded a little different than this post and had accidentally deleted - now here for me even more atmospheric version.
When my mother five years ago was that song from my niece Deborah Clare and my nephew Dimitri Kevin with their violins played at the funeral.
It was also one of the favorite songs of my mother.
When my oldest niece Daniela married three years ago in a small castle here in the vicinity had this song was sung by a soprano, which of course caused us sisters again very different feelings and memories.
***
It remains for me one of the most soulful songs I know.

Chetna And Prithvi Date?
Offener Lesekreis mit Blanche Kommerell zu Christa Wolfs »Kein Ort. Nirgends«
Passend zur aktuellen Ausstellung »Männerbilder« widmet sich der Lesekreis dem Thema »Männlichkeit«: Heinrich von Kleist, his letters and Christa Wolf's studies of Kleist's Penthesilea are this time the focus of more detailed reading. In the Romantic period, the period of change and the androgynous gender designs were also challenged gender roles. The 21 year old Caroline of Günderrode said: "Many times I had the unfeminine desire to throw myself into a wild tumult of battle to die. Why was I not a man! I have no sense of feminine virtues, for women happiness. Only the wild, great, I like shiny. It is an unfortunate but incorrigible imbalance in my soul, and it will and must remain so, because I am a woman and have desires like a man without a man's strength. That's why I'm so changeable, and so at odds with me ... "The desire to escape the staring role reversals, runs like a leitmotif through the Women's Writing of the early 19th Century: If I could learn "like the boys" (Fanny Lewald), "If I were a man but at least only" (Annette von Droste-Hülshoff) Oh I want a boy to be "(Bettine Brentano). Heinrich von Kleist was also "on the" search for a safe sex. Christa Wolf describes in "No place. Nowhere "(1979) a fictional meeting between Caroline of Günderrode and Heinrich von Kleist. As two kindred spirits, they inevitably draw to identify itself as the world and himself suffering.
It is worthwhile, as always, a closer look: in the literary text and social conditions.
